Benja Bruijning's lead role in the Dutch romantic comedy FAMILY WAY (2012) opposite Carice van Houten, marked his break through to a wide audience. His recent projects include two seasons of FIGHTER'S HEART, the Dutch sumbission for the International Emmy Awards 2016, the TV series BLACK TULIP, the Dutch feature film THE FURY (DE HELLEVEEG) and one episode of GODFORSAKEN!, in which he plays the impressive role of Dennis. Bram Suijker (1989) graduated from the renowned Maastricht Theatre Academy in 2013. Jonas Smulders (Amsterdam, 1994) has made over 10 films since his debut in the 2011 TV series, HOW DO I SURVIVE. At the age of 22 he wasawarded the Golden Calf Award for Best Actor for his lead role in WE WILL NEVER BE ROYALS, a role which gained him international recognition as well. In 2015, he won the Spotlight European Breakthrough Award at Kilkenny’sSubtitle fest. The International Film Festival Berlin selected Jonas as a Shooting Star 2018, one of ten brightest young European actors.

Susan Radder is one of the most promising young actresses from the Netherlands. She was nominated Best Actress at the Netherlands Film Festival 2016 for her lead role in HORIZON and won the Dutch Critics’ Award TV BEELDEN 2017 for Best Actor. She can also be seen in KAUWBOY which went on to win 13 international awards, amongst which Best Youth Film at the Berlin International Film Festival 2012 and the Young Audience Award at the European Film Awards 2012.
Thijs Boermans recently came to the scene with his striking performance in the Dutch Film Academy graduation film GAMEBOY (2014). He caught the eye of Dutch film critics, proclaiming him one of the new talents of 2015. Thijs also played the lead role in the controversial TV film THE STUDENT. In 2016, he could be seen in THE HERO, the opening film of the 36th Netherlands Film Festival, directed by Menno Meyjes, and this year in KLEINE IJSTIJD, directed by Paula van der Oest.
Vincent van der Valk (1985) studied drama both at Circle in the Square Theatre School in New York and at one of Europe’s finest drama academies, The Maastricht Academy of Performing Arts in The Netherlands. He received a Golden Calf nomination for Best Actor at the Netherlands Film Festival for his lead role in the feature film GLUCKAUF, won the Arlecchino for Best Supporting Actor for his role on stage in ANGELS IN AMERICA. He’s a versatile actor who has received critical acclaim for his roles both on stage as on the big and small screen. Vincent is also a screenwriter for theatre and television.
Yootha Wong-Loi-Sing first came to the scene in 2013 with the lead role in the Dutch film THE PRICE OF SUGAR, the opening film of The Netherlands Film Festival 2013. Immediately she got awarded with a Best Actress nomination for The Netherlands' most important film award, the Golden Calf. She's making a leap to the global stage with her role in the new dramedy LOVE IS_ for OWN, the Oprah Winfrey Network, which will air in June.
Antoinette Beumer is a Dutch director and writer. Both her debut feature film THE HAPPY HOUSEWIFE, with Carice van Houten in the lead role, and her second film, LOFT, starring Barry Atsma and Marwan Kenzari, were awarded with the prestigious Platinum Film Award. It’s the first time ever for a director to win two Platinum Films in the same year. Her award winning film JACKIE premiered at TIFF, and she scored a huge box office hit with SOOF. Her critically acclaimed debut novel, MY DAD’S AN AIRPLANE, was released in January 2018. The film rights have been optioned to Topkapi Films, with Antoinette set to direct and write the screenplay.

Joost van Ginkel is an award winning director and scriptwriter. His first two short films SAND and KISS together won sixteen international awards in total. His feature film debut 170HZ got selected for the Busan International Film Festival and won the Golden Calf Audience Award at the Netherlands Film Festival. His latest film THE PARADISE SUITE (2015) was the Dutch entry for the Academy Awards 2016 and won Best Screenplay, Best Actor and Best Movie at the Netherlands Film Festival 2016. Currently Joost is writing his third feature film.
Mea Dols de Jong (1988) graduated at the Netherlands Film Academy in 2014. She received worldwide critical acclaim for her graduation film IF MAMA AIN’T HAPPY NOBODY’S HAPPY which has won over 27 (international) awards. In 2016 Mea was named one of the “Top 10 Europeans to Watch” by Variety and listed by leading Dutch newspaper NRC as one of 100 most influential people in the Dutch Cultural sector. The Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard has selected Mea for the class of 2019.
Michiel ten Horn is an award winning director and screenwriter. The prestigious American film magazine Variety listed Ten Horn as one of ’Ten European Directors to Watch’. His debut feature THE DEFLOWERING OF EVA VAN END was nominated for the Discovery Award at the Toronto International Film Festival and for five Golden Calf Awards at the Netherlands Film Festival. His second feature HOW TO AVOID EVERYTHING (OT: AANMODDERFAKKER) was nominated in 6 different categories at The Netherlands Film Festival and won 3 Golden Calf Awards.
Paula van der Oest is an Academy Award nominated director and screenwriter. Her film ZUS & ZO (2001) was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. In 2015 her film ACCUSED made it to the Academy Award’s shortlist and her film TONIO (2016) was again chosen as the Dutch entry for the Foreign Language Oscar. Her latest film YOUNGER DAYS (OT: DE KLEINE IJSTIJD) has its international premiere in October 2017 at Chicago International Film Festival. She is set to direct THE BAY OF SILENCE with Claes Bang (THE SQUARE) attached to play the lead role.
Remy van Heugten is an award winning film director who is known for his socially engaged films. His feature SON OF MINE premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam in the Hivos Tiger Competition to rave reviews. The film went on to win many awards, both in The Netherlands and abroad. At the Netherlands Film Festival 2015 SON OF MINE won 4 Golden Calves (alongside 6 nominations) including Best Director and Best Film. Currently he is working on his third feature film MASCOT, which has been selected for Berlinale Co-Production Talent Market 2018.
Sacha Polak is an award winning director and scriptwriter. HEAVEN (2011), her first feature length film, got selected for the Berlinale, FORUM 2012, and won the International Federation of Film Critics Award. Her second feature film ZURICH (2014) premiered at Berlinale 2015 and won the jury award for Best Film of in the FORUM competition. Sacha just wrapped her first English language feature DIRTY GOD. She’s attached to direct the international TV series AVRUPA. .
Shady El-Hamus (1988) is an award winning Dutch director and screenwriter. Dutch newspaper Volkskrant named him one of three directing talents of 2018. Shady graduated from both The Netherlands Film Academy and the prestigious MA National Film and Television School in London. At the Netherlands Film Festival 2012, Shady was awarded the Dioraphte Award for Most Outstanding Graduation Student of the Year. His short film NIGHTSHADE is the Dutch submission for the Academy Awards 2018. Shady is currently developing his first feature film called De Libi.
Tomas Kaan is an award winning documentary maker and film director. In both his documentaries and films he expresses a distinctive visual and experimental style. His first feature film GREENLAND (2015) screened at several international festivals. He co-directed the critically acclaimed Dutch TV series FIGHTER’S HEART (2016) and the family series ZENITH (2017).
